How to Create a Fundraiser on Pure Charity

Pure Charity allows nonprofit organizations to create online fundraising campaigns directly from their Nonprofit Dashboard. Each fundraiser gets its own dedicated page where donors can contribute, track progress toward a goal, and follow updates from the organizer.

What You Need Before Creating a Fundraiser

Before you create a fundraiser on Pure Charity, make sure you have the following ready:

  • An active Pure Charity Nonprofit (Field Partner) Account
  • Admin access to the nonprofit’s dashboard
  • A fundraiser name, description, and fundraising goal
  • A start date and end date for the campaign
  • Branding assets (avatar image, cover image) — optional but recommended
  • A story or description explaining the purpose of the fundraiser

Step-by-Step: How to Create a Fundraiser

Step 1: Sign in to your Pure Charity account at purecharity.com/signin.

Step 2: From your User Dashboard, click on your nonprofit under Managed Field Partners to open your Nonprofit Dashboard.

Step 3: Click “Fundraisers” in the left-hand navigation menu.

Step 4: Click “Create New Fundraiser” to begin the fundraiser creation wizard.

Step 5: Fill out the fundraiser details:

  • Fundraiser Name — Choose a clear, descriptive name that donors will see
  • Fundraising Goal — Set a dollar amount target for the campaign
  • Start and End Dates — Define when the fundraiser will be active and accepting donations
  • Lives Impacted — Enter an estimate of how many lives this fundraiser will impact (this is displayed on the fundraiser page but does not affect your ability to raise funds)
  • Fundraiser Story — Write a compelling description of what the fundraiser supports and why donors should contribute

Step 6: Add branding elements like an avatar image and cover photo to make your fundraiser page visually appealing.

Step 7: Review your fundraiser details, accept the Terms and Conditions, and click “Create Fundraiser” to submit it.

Step 8: Your fundraiser will appear as “Pending” until a nonprofit admin approves it. Once approved, it will be live and accepting donations.

What Happens After You Create a Fundraiser?

After creation, your fundraiser must be approved by a nonprofit admin before it goes live. Once approved, donors can visit the fundraiser page, make one-time or recurring donations, and follow the campaign for updates. You can track donations, download donor reports, and post updates from the Fundraiser Dashboard.

Can Anyone Create a Fundraiser for My Nonprofit?

Yes — Pure Charity supports peer-to-peer fundraising through the “Fundraise for this Cause” feature. Individual supporters can create their own fundraiser linked to your organization’s campaign, and all funds raised will flow back to the parent fundraiser. Learn more about peer-to-peer fundraising on Pure Charity.
