(“Pure Charity”, “we”, “us” or “our”) is committed to protecting the privacy of every individual who visits PureCharity.com, go.purecharity.com, and any other subdomains or domain names that may be used by Pure Charity (collectively the “Pure Charity Website” or the “Website”). This Pure Charity Privacy Policy (“Privacy Policy”) outlines how your personally identifiable information and other personal data (collectively your “user information”) will be collected, used and shared in connection with your access to and/or use of the Website and the content and features thereof. By visiting the Website, you consent to the use of your user information as outlined herein.

Our cookies provide additional functionality to the Website and help us analyze Website usage more accurately. DATA COLLECTION

When you interact with us through the Pure Charity Website, we may collect information from you as further described below.

  1. Standard web server traffic pattern information. General traffic, site usage, browser information IP address, location, device information, and length of stay information is collected and stored in log files. This type of information is shared externally only on an aggregated basis.
  2. Personal information that you provide to us. Certain optional activities may require your personal information for us to provide you with that service. These activities include, but are not limited to, the following:
  1. Registration: If you are given the option of registering a user account on the Website, we may retain the preferences you select so that you will not have to reenter the information each time you access our Website.
  2. Contributions: We use a third party payment processor to process payments made to us. In connection with the processing of such payments, we do not retain any financial information such as credit card numbers. Rather, all such information is provided directly to our third party processor, Braintree, a PayPal service, whose use of your personal information is governed by their privacy policy, which may be viewed at https://www.paypal.com/webapps/mpp/ua/privacy-full.
  3. Requests: If you submit an online request for additional information or submit a question through a “contact us” query, we may have to gather additional information from you to respond to your request. Such information will vary with the request but often includes name, address, telephone number, and email address.

DATA USE

We limit the use of personal information provided to us on our Website to the following:

INTERNAL USE

  1. We will only use aggregate information derived, in part, from your use of our site to improve our site and our service to you.
  2. We may enter your name, phone number, address, and email address into our constituent database and contact you in order to: (i) complete voluntary surveys seeking feedback for quality and service improvement purposes; (ii) supply you with information including news, programs, events and services; or (iii) request voluntary time or monetary contributions.
  3. We collect the email addresses of those who communicate with us by email. Inquiries may be forwarded to the appropriate department for response and may be entered into our constituent database. If your name is entered into the database, we may contact you (see 1(b) above).

EXTERNAL USE

Your personal information will not be shared or released to any organization or business entity other than those affiliated with or working in conjunction with us and those supported by you as follows:

With nonprofit organizations, fundraiser organizers, trip administrators or Pure Charity administrators and staff members, unless you adjust your personal settings to refect their desires for who can see you information. Nonprofit Organizations are not owned or controlled by Pure Charity, and third parties that have been granted access to information may have their own policies and practices for its collection and use. Please check the privacy settings and notices for such organizations and contact them directly with any questions regarding their privacy policies.
  2. We occasionally hire other companies to provide limited services on our behalf. We will only provide those companies the information they need to deliver the service and prohibit them from using that information for any other purpose.

YOUR OPTIONS

We respect your privacy and allow you to restrict the internal and external sharing of your personal information. We recognize that you may wish to limit the ways in which we contact you. If you contact us with an opt-out request, all reasonable efforts will be taken to ensure that you will not receive any of the selected communications from us in the future. If you opt back in to a specific service, you will receive communication in that manner, regardless of your overall opt-out selections. These services may include newsletter subscriptions or email communication by asking a question using the “Contact Us” feature on the Website.

Our staff and volunteers are educated about the importance of safeguarding your information and we are committed to holding them accountable for protecting your confidentiality. EXCLUSIONS

This Privacy Policy does not apply to any personal information collected by Pure Charity other than personal information collected through the Pure Charity Website or services provided by Pure Charity. This Privacy Policy shall not apply to any unsolicited information you provide to Pure Charity through this Website or through any other means (i.e, through a comment on our Facebook page, Instagram account, Twitter account, or general message board). All unsolicited information shall be deemed to be non-confidential and Pure Charity shall be free to reproduce, use, disclose, distribute, and exploit such unsolicited information without limitation or attribution. This Privacy Policy also does not apply to data you submit through our Website when registering for trips. Trip registration forms are created and are controlled by other Nonprofit Organizations and, as such, are subject to such other Nonprofit Organizations’ privacy policies.

EXTERNAL LINKS

This Privacy Policy applies only to the Pure Charity Website. The Pure Charity Website may contain links to other websites not operated or controlled by Pure Charity (“Third Party Websites”). The policies and procedures described in this Privacy Policy do not apply to the Third-Party Websites. The links to the Third Party Websites located on our Website do not imply that Pure Charity endorses or has reviewed the Third-Party Websites. We suggest contacting the Third Party Websites directly for information on their privacy policies.

CHILDREN

Pure Charity does not knowingly collect personal information from individuals under the age of 18. If you are under the age of 18, please do not submit any personal information through our Website. We encourage parents and legal guardians to monitor their children’s Internet usage and to help enforce our Privacy Policy by instructing their children to never provide personal information on the Pure Charity Website without permission from a parent or guardian. If you have reason to believe that an individual under the age of 18 has provided his or her personal information to Pure Charity though our Website, please contact us at privacy@purecharity.com, and we will endeavor to delete information from our database. If this is not possible (for example, because your personal information has been stored in backup archives), then we will securely store your personal information and isolate it from any further processing until deletion is possible.
