How to Sign Up Your Nonprofit on Pure Charity: Requirements and Steps

Any U.S.-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization in good standing with the IRS can apply to become a nonprofit partner on Pure Charity. The sign-up process involves meeting eligibility requirements, scheduling a demo, creating your accounts, and completing onboarding — and most organizations can be up and running within a few weeks.

Eligibility Requirements

To join Pure Charity as a nonprofit partner (referred to as a “Field Partner” on the platform), your organization must meet the following requirements:

  • 501(c)(3) Status — Your organization must be a registered United States-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit, or have filed a Form 1023 Application for Recognition of Exemption under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code.
  • Good Standing with the IRS — Your tax-exempt status must be current and active. You can confirm your IRS status at apps.irs.gov/app/eos.
  • Guidestar Profile — Your organization must have a current profile on Guidestar.org.
  • Mission Alignment — Your organization must conduct work in one of the cause categories aligned with one of the 17 UN Sustainable Development Goals.
  • Track Record — Your organization should have a proven track record of successful programs.
  • Capacity — Your organization should have the resources and capacity to provide required feedback for your fundraisers and programs.
  • Non-Discrimination — You cannot discriminate on the basis of race, color, ethnicity, religion, sex, disability, age, veteran status, medical condition, citizenship, ancestry, or marital status.
  • Terms Agreement — You must agree to the Pure Charity Terms and Conditions.

How to Sign Up: Step by Step

Step 1: Schedule a Demo. Before creating an account, schedule a meeting with a Pure Charity Partner Impact Specialist. This gives the team a chance to understand your nonprofit’s needs, explain how the platform works, and determine the right service plan for your organization. Schedule a Demo here.

Step 2: Create a Personal User Account. Every person who uses Pure Charity — whether as a donor, trip participant, or nonprofit admin — needs a personal User Account. Go to purecharity.com/signup and create your account. Be sure to confirm your email before moving to the next step.

Step 3: Create Your Nonprofit Account. Once you have a User Account, create your organization’s Nonprofit (Field Partner) Account at purecharity.com/field_partners/new. Enter all of your organization’s information accurately — this information is used during the verification process.

Step 4: Account Verification. After you submit your nonprofit information, the Pure Charity team will review and verify your organization’s eligibility. You’ll be redirected to your Nonprofit Dashboard with limited access during this process. Once verified, you’ll receive an email notification and be asked to enter billing payment details.

Step 5: Onboarding & Training. Pure Charity provides customized onboarding and training to help your organization get the most out of the platform. Your Implementation Manager will walk you through account setup, fundraiser creation, donor management, and any additional features your nonprofit plans to use.

Step 6: Launch. Once onboarding is complete, you’re ready to start raising money, managing sponsors, coordinating trips, and growing your impact.

How Long Does the Sign-Up Process Take?

The verification and onboarding timeline varies depending on your organization’s readiness and the complexity of your needs, but most nonprofits complete the process within a few weeks of their initial demo.
